Strategic Plan
2024-2027

Glasgow University Union has always aimed to be a central part of student life for those attending the University of Glasgow. GUU aims to provide services and activities that benefit students academically, notably through the availability of our two libraries, training for and hosting of debates, and our four publications. These include the monthly Magazine of the GUU (MoGUU), the creative writing journal Fleet, and our two academic journals, the undergraduate and postgraduate editions of Groundings. The GUU equally aims to benefit students socially through HIVE, the Well and various events throughout the year. Our focus and commitment is on providing these services to the highest possible standard, maintaining student welfare and experience as a priority.

The strategic plan 2024 - 2027 outlines our ambitions to diversify and enhance this experience. The plan has been developed after extensive stakeholder engagement ranging from campus-wide surveys to group consultations. This engagement allowed us to see exactly what our members, and also non-members, are expecting from GUU. The purpose of this document is to outline how we will meet these expectations in the coming years to the best of our ability.

We hope this plan goes a long way in expressing our dedication to improving GUU’s operations as well as presenting a strong and defined focus for the future.
